Rogers Will Fight Before Kimbo, Diaz Will Too

Despite earlier reports that Brett Rogers would wait to face the winner of the Shamrock/Slice bout, it now appears that Brett Rogers will return to action on the November 8th Showtime card. Nick Diaz and Joey Villasenor, two of EliteXC's best fighters, are also scheduled to appear. MMA Junkie with the story break.

big 9 er: I think you hit the nail on the head. His choices, as a champ, are beginning to be all too noticeable to anyone who keeps up with MMA. While the rest of the LW contenders of the MMA world are world are training with hopes for a shot at Noons, Noons and his father are too busy bragging about eachother in interviews, going on vacations, and sitting on the belt so that Noons can enjoy wat "HE KNOWS" is going to be a very shortlived title. Hell, if your gonna be a champ, then let the fans be the judge of who is the best contender......Did I hear someone say DIAZ?!!!! Yeah, we ALL WANNA see it again, Noons. Do the MMA world a favor, and for christ sake's, do yourself a favor, and get up and DEFEND THAT TITLE. On paper, even if champion, by the way in which he allegedly is dodging worthy opponents, he has no idea how meaningless the fans of MMA are quickly beginning to consider his title as nothing more than a title held by a fighter that won it (by doctor stoppage), and is playing it safe and SITTING ON IT. We want to see a champion that weather's storms in the octogon, ducks no one, and takes the most recognized contenders without hesitation. Wat good is a title belt if no one respects you?

D said it all! I'm not a fighter but i get up everyday and go to work because that's my job...Noons is a fighter, that's his job. He's a champion for a company that badly needs for it's fighters to deliver right now and he's pussing out big time...like I said before...STRIP HIS ASS OF THE TITLE and put Nick in there with whoever for the vacant title...Nick won't duck anyone because he's a fighter...nuff said

i should have know kj would chicken out oh well villa is good fighter so this should be agood match regardless. kj days with the titlle are numbered

I still think KJ is a good fighter once it comes down to it. But only a pussy ducks others. He should step up and defend his title to someone if not have that LONG awaited Rematch with Diaz (I've wanted to see the rematch since the second the doctor said its over)
